Life Drawing 2012-06-15S

Something else I did! I've felt my figure drawing muscles getting soft, so I've started going to Schuler School. I wasn't expecting a costumed model, but it was kind of cool! Still want to find a place that does gestures though - this was 1 3 hr pose.

Slugger

So the game project that I've been working on for a few months now has finally launched on Kickstarter!

Kickstarter Page
Slugger is the first game that will be created by a brand new Baltimore startup studio called Pretty Weird. You can visit its homepage here: There are a ton of super talented people working on this, including some of my classmates from MICA, Yao Li and Pio Canlas. We're really pumped about this, and we need all the support we can get, so please donate a few bucks and let's make this happen!

More 3D: Tables, Snowy House

Some things I've been working on, mostly to try and figure out polycount shortcuts, and also to see what can be done with just one normal map. Hoping to get back on my much more frequent posting, sorry!

Self Portrait 2

I wanted to do another self portrait, and I wanted to play with lighting, so I painted in natural lighting - I had to split it up over two mornings to get the right light.

I think the main thing I learned, as opposed to how to paint natural lighting, was that I look hella ghastly and need to get out more.

Still Life - Espresso

A quick study last night - been trying to get better at painting! Before I worked at a cafe my senior year of college, I didn't drink any coffee. Now I'm snobby about espresso and coffee. Like how on this I had to pull (make) the shot a second time when it came time to detail the crema (foam). SIGH.
